With an open minded Architect or Interior Designer to firmly plan, coordinate and construct your project. What is design build? Ask ten people and you will probably get ten different answers, but from our perspective it is a collaborative effort between the Client, the Architect or Interior Designer and us. The process starts very early to allow for a fluid and dynamic approach towards designing, pricing and constructing the project.
How does this approach benefit you? For starters you have the entire team assembled early. You save money because the time it takes to complete the project is less. You don't spend money for unnecessary design services. You save time and money because you are not designing, bidding and building. Instead, you are designing and building concurrently. From initial design schematic to final construction documents we are directly involved with the Client and Architect or Interior Designer to ensure construction elements are cost effectively designed and materials specified are appropriate for the budget in mind.
With all that said, Design Build is not for everyone. If shopping numbers is important, you have more time to plan, and more money to spend on design services. A more traditional Design-Bid-Build approach might be more fitting. Either process can be extremely rewarding for everyone involved but either way can be a nightmare if the wrong contractor is chosen.
